Day Star Care Ltd is a Care Recruitment Agency based in the West midlands to supply RGN’s, RMN’s, Carers and Healthcare Workers to the Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Community Health Organisations.

Our Care Workers are trained to the National Minimum Standard and many have advanced their skills to NVQ₂ and NVQ₃. Our Nurses are qualified RMN’s and RGN’s with up to date skills tailored to deliver individualised person centred care to patients/clients. We aim at excellence and endeavour to achieve this by working in partnership with our clients to ensure quality care delivery. Our Services

Day Star Care is providing care services through our qualified healthcare workers to the Nursing Homes, Residential Homes, Day Care centres, Hospitals and Healthcare organisations. Our services are flexible, whether you require healthcare workers for Nights, Days and weekends carers are available to support and work with our clients;

To provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs and illnesses.
To know and understand the care and support of the Client.
To undertake the tasks detailed in the Client’s care and support plan using a person centred approach and in the least intrusive way.
To encourage the independence and motivation of the Client and not foster dependent behaviour.
To assist Clients getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
To assist Clients to wash, bath and shower.
To assist Clients to dress and undress.
To assist Clients to look after their skin, teeth, hair and nails.
To assist Clients with toileting, continence management and personal hygiene.
To assist Clients with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment.
To prepare food and drink for the Client, being aware of the Client’s choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
To provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan and as instructed by Management.
To use manual handling equipment safely and correctly.
To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the Client.
To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with Clients.
To provide companionship to the Client, actively talking and listening to them about their interests.
To help the Client to maintain contact with their family and friends.
To accompany the Client on trips into the community.
To assist the Client to manage their personal affairs.
To ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the Client, whilst respecting the

Nursing Opportunities

Applications are invited from experienced RMN’s and RGN’s for temporary positions in Hospitals and Nursing Homes across the West midlands. Whether for Nights, Days or Weekend shifts, you should be able to choose hours to suit your availability. Requirements

At least 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse within a nursing home, residential home or assisted living facility
At least 6 months in an acute, primary care or community setting for work in the NHS hospitals
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to the safe care and well-being of patients/vulnerable adults
